Located in Marousi, Athens, this residential project comprises two independent maisonettes with basement accommodation, each designed to offer the privacy, generosity and connection to the outdoors of a detached house.

The building is articulated as two distinct volumes, each corresponding to one home and expressing its individual identity, while together forming a single architectural composition. A substantial cantilever extends the upper volume, shaping the building’s distinctive profile while creating a generous covered outdoor space below and an expansive terrace for the upper residence.

The lower maisonette spans the ground and first floors, opening directly onto a generous private garden with a swimming pool, complemented by a separate backyard. The relationship between interior and garden extends everyday living outdoors, giving the residence the character and independence of a private house.

Above, the second maisonette occupies the second and third floors, with extensive terraces and views towards the OAKA Olympic complex. A plunge pool is integrated into the terrace, while the outdoor spaces extend everyday living beyond the interiors, providing room for planting, dining and relaxation. Together, these elements give the upper residence the privacy, openness and outdoor living qualities of a private house.

The architecture follows a contemporary, minimal approach, combining exposed concrete with a light material palette and clean lines. Carefully positioned openings bring daylight deep into the interiors, while pale surfaces reflect it throughout the rooms, enhancing their sense of openness. The texture of the concrete adds depth and character to the restrained composition.

Throughout both homes, the layouts make considered use of the available space, balancing comfortable living areas with efficient circulation and integrated storage. Each residence is designed to feel spacious, functional and complete in its own right.
